2 questions for Feng Shui enthusiasts.?

1. My son's incredibly messy bedroom and our never-really-organized office inhabit the career centers of our home. Short of cleaning them up (the obvious) what can be done to enhance the career areas of our lives? 2. Last year we installed a fence around our backyard. As our house sits on the edge of a mountain, we had to stair-step our fence away from our house -- anathema to the financial equilibrium of the household. And, anecdotally, we have had the worst financial year since our early years of marriage. What can we do to counteract the effect of the fence (money flowing away from the house) without removing the fence?

i have been studying chinese fengshui, not the ones found in books, which i think you're talking about regarding the career centers.
there is a formula regarding how to make your kids attentive in schools, but it differs from case to case, and has no general rules. meaning you need to get a fengshui auditor/ master to do it for you.
next, your description is quite vague. fengshui is about accuracy, meaning we need measurements, at least a clear picture of where is the mountain in relation to your house, and how many degrees (in the 360 degrees- NSEW) is it when you stand in your house with the main door in front of you. do you even see the mountain when you're inside the house? fengshui is about proper measurement and proper application. and a fence cannot blow away your money! if this is true, then rich people won't have fences.

Re question no 1, cleaning of cluttter is very important and by your question, you already know this is the case, so I definitely recommend that you do this but with correct intention also. Do the cleaning with the intentions of enhancing your career and/or study for your sons.
very generic suggestion can be given to you to improve however one would need to know the area or sector that your office is in. If your house faces South for e.g. and the office is in the rear, then it could be in the North sector.
I would give recommendations not based just on the location but also on what energy is there this year. So happy to help if you can respond as to what sector this room is in.
Re question no 2, If you already had a mountain aside the house and the fence is re-inforcing this, I would think that it may not be the fence but the changing of energies that may have occurred, which change on a yearly basis.
Again it would help to know which sector say your entrance is in and other important entry/exit points of the house. Up to Feb 2007 the main negative yearly energies are in the West and South East sectors, again this is quite generic as a proper feng shui analysis requires an accurate compass reading of the property along with the year it was built, renovated etc. This analysis provides a very specific chart for your property and your property alone, like an astrology chart for a person. Happy to help further....wishing you good luck and happiness.

My bathroom is in my relationship feng shui corner. How can I fix any ill effects?

Just moved to a new apt. that I had no real control over. According to the feng shui bagua, my bathroom occupies the relationship/love/marriage corner. I need some chi adjustment ideas because I'm getting married in March and my fiance will move into this apartment. My last apt. had the bed in this corner and hey - we got engaged while I was living there (but my bathroom occupied the helpful people section and I was very lonely while living there.

you're basing your life in a book? and it is about black hat fengshui, which is the lamest! think about this, if all apartments were done like yours, then does it mean that the people living in them are damned?
i always believe that you don't have to fix something that is not broken.
you can only do chi adjustment if you calculate for your chi distribution/ flying star theory based on the degree/ facing of your door.
regarding your relationship, you can move your bedroom toward your favorable location, and/ or move your bed to face your bed (meaning when lying down your feet must point) towards your love/ romance direction. (8 mansions theory based on your birthdate)

Dead tree = Bad feng shui?

I am looking for a rental properties and this property that I am looking at has a dead tree in front of the bedroom window. I have heard about in terms of feng shui, dead plant (tree) has some bad effects on the household, but I am not sure what's the bad thing about it.
This affects my decision on whether to take this apartment to rent for at least 1 year.

a tree near a house in general is bad fengshui, especially if it is very near the house like 10 meters. there has been discussion about this in the fengshui class i attended, and some of my friends suggested that maybe it is bad because of the roots of the tree might harm the house. but in general, it is bad.
dead tree? hmmm... i guess it is too, because a living tree is bad, how much more a dead tree.
on the other hand, i think that a dead tree is considered as a sha (bad) chi. so, i guess that it is bad especially if you can see it through your house/ bedroom. in regards with sha chi, if you can see it, then it harms you. if you cannot see it, like if it is at the back of your house, and the bedroom is also at the back of the house, and you cannot see the tree in living there... then i guess it won't really harm you.
then there is a twist here, but if the tree forms a sharp point with its branches, pointing even slightly towards your house, even if you cannot see it, it definitely harms you.
my advice is not to take the apartment.
my master also suggested that most houses with trees, especially with drooping leaves attracts ghosts in the area.

As per Feng Shui - When sitting at a desk or lying in bed, the entrance door should be in a clear line of sight, and you should have a view of as much of the room as possible.
Secondly any sort of dead tree around the house specially before your eyes should not be there. Bad elements are supposed to live in the baron trees. It is very bad in both Feng Shui and Rekhi. There is always some remedy for every thing. As your house owner to cut the tree fully so that you do not get the bad effect from it. If you like the house you can take it and just fix a ' BAGUA which is an octagonal piece fixed with mirror in the middle. this will be available at any feng shui store and you can get it and fix with a nail. This will nullify the bad effects.

What are the effects of feng shui to the Filipinos?

What kind of question is this? How would feng shui have an effect on a specific group? It has nothing to do with people directly. The actual meaning of feng shui is the use of geographical, psychological, philosophical, mathematical, aesthetic and astrological concepts in relation to space and energy flow, with not only respect to interior decorating of one's domicile but also with many different techniques of architecture and design. So, you're use of the term in this question leads me to believe you aren't too bright. Perhaps you should sell your computer and go buy yourself a book with the money you get.
So, even though I did not answer your question, which seems largely rhetorical anyway, I do thank you for the points.
Peace, love, and feng shui...

The lack of proper usage of Feng Shui principles has led its country men to coining the term 'only in da philippines' if you know what i mean. Its government itself is divided simply because it's official buildings go against the basic principles of feng shui.
While there are spots like the makati business district that flourish (take a look at is buildings and how they are constructed, like Smart), the rest of the areas lag behind with poverty. Take a look at google maps to view things in a bigger perspective. You'll notice that areas near a water source tend to do better.

fengshui is dependent on location.
take for example filipinos living in manila, near the manila bay area. water is sex and money. since the water that is in the bay is dirty, filipinos in the malate area are involved with prostitutions and odd jobs involving sex and money.
another, the LRT and MRT routes. in fengshui, it is known that it is not adviseable to live near a fast street, because it can be deadly - the businesses below these 2 rails are basically dead, and there is nothing the mayors in these areas can do to enliven the businesses again.
another, have you wondered why the philippine government is always divided in 2 factions? take a look at malacanang palace using google earth. you will see that the seat of government is actually a circle divided by the pasig river. again water means emotions, money and sex, which are 3 things you most see in the government.
another take on this is that, in fengshui, the back of the house must be "supported" by a big mountain or a building or a solid structure. in the malacanang's case, there is no support, and the back is pasig river, which make the government even more weak, defenseless and prone to be backstabbed, which is happening to politicians from marcos to the present.
coincidence? well, in fengshui, there is always an explanation and coincidences happen all the time. that is why, when you know fengshui, you know what to avoid and what to get for a new house, so you do not suffer in the end.
most filipinos believe that a good house must have its door facing east or where the sun rises. then put a picture of the holy trinity at the middle post of the house. last, you always see the famous last supper picture at the dining area of filipino houses. in effect, most filipino houses are not optimized based on the occupant, since not all houses facing east are good for all people. next, the center of the house represents the owner's heart. in fengshui, it is not adviseable to have a post in the center of the house, because you do not want a cemented post for a heart - it means an easy death.
regarding religion, religion and money do not mix. name one country, colonized by spain in the name of catholicism and is a very rich country right now. nada! because religion and money do not mix well - meaning, if you have to have an altar in the living room, put it inside a cabinet. when you like to pray, open it up and do your thing. when done, close it up.
last the picture of the last supper at the dining table - it is literally the last supper of the family, as most of thjese families have the same problem - that they do not have enough to eat or do not have enough money to spend.
so when you know fengshui, life is easier. filipinos are not like any other nationalities. when you say that they should do this to get rich, they will say that it is evil or that it is superstition. but when you say to a singaporean, do this and you will get rich. singaporeans do it without question. so look at where the singaporeans now, and where are the filipinos now?
about 30 years ago, my dad came to the philippines to seek greener pastures from china. it is odd for him to pick the philippines. but would you believe that at that time, philippines is ranked number 1 in economy that is under the marcos regime. it is even above singapore and other southeast asian countries. now it is last, while singapore used fengshui to be number 1 in this region in less than 20 years time.

Can anyone recommend a book on colors and how they effect our moods?

I've started studying home decor, and I know that colors effect our moods. I'm not so much into the Feng Shui, but probably more along the lines of color psychology.
I listened to a speaker from Pantone at the local college a couple years ago. It was very interesting as she went through all the colors and how the effect us. I couldn't remember the name of the book so I looked it up, it is "Colors for your every mood". There are a couple other books listed on their site but this is the one that the speaker mentioned. Hope this helps, you might see if it is at your local library to check it out first.

You can also go to the website www.pantone.com ( click on "paint and interiors", and then you are going to scroll down and see color inspiration on the left side, click on "the many moods of color" and they have a list of all the colors and if you click on them it will give you more detailed information.

Does this Feng Shui love formula help a person become more closer or spark a communication with the 1 u love?

I read about a Feng Shui love cure/recipe and it said to take 2 photos of same size yours and his (who ever you have a yen for LOL), write your intention(s) on the back of the photos on the night of a Full Moon, take the photos and wrap them with red yarn/ribbon 100 times and then take the photos and put them in a red envelope. Sleep with this red envelope underneath your pillow for 9 consecutive nights, on the tenth day take this red envelope and throw it inot a moving body of water (i.e. beach, river, lake a strong currented body of water to take yor intention away and manifest them fully I guess).
And apparently your intended "love" with contact you, or even better see you in a whole new light.
Has anyone tried Feng Shui recipe like this and does this formula really work? Thinking of trying this tomorrow night since its a full moon.

whatever it is, there is no such thing as a fengshui love formula. fengshui only achieve 1 of 2 things at a time or per method: either increase wealth or enhance health.
it might be a witchcraft or wicca thing, but definitely not fengshui.
if it is that effective, do you think the author of the book will just freely write it down and give it to the readers for free? or will he or she sell the idea like a consultant? - like a fengshui consultant.
and another thing. i always believe that if a person came across a good idea or a good thing, he/ she will spread the word. so, if you have heard this thing from friends, then it is i think effective. if you read it from a book, then it is not. likewise, fengshui has been spread from one generation to the next in the chinese family, it must be effective. and people pay a lot just to learn chinese fengshui. did you pay a lot to learn that love formula of yours?
well, i have taken several fengshui seminars under a couple of chinese fengshui masters, and i used to be interested in witchcraft. so, i think i know the difference between fengshui and witchcraft. i think that formula is in a lewellyn book about the power of the elements, which is different from those of fegnshui. the difference is in witchcraft, your belief and emotions powers your spell or formula. whereas in fengshui, you are using the power of the earth or elements, so you don't have to believe in it.
it is possible to influence your love for this guy, even get that spark, but there is always consequences, esp. in witchcraft. and the consequence is not usually in favor in to you. why? i guess, there is always balance - like you can only have much power only if your not going to use it - to have that balance.
there is a way in witchcraft, but that formula is now way near it.

Goldfish & Feng Shui.

From my understanding, the idea number of goldfish for a Feng Shui tank is 8 ( 7 gold & 1 black goldfish). However, I have a small living space and can only have a small fish tank. Is their a lesser number of goldfish I can get with the same or similar Feng Shui benefits?

Just remember that goldfish need 5-10 gallons of water each. You would need a very big tank to get the Feng Shui number. I think your best bet is to go with the black one since, as previously stated in another answer, that is the one that absorbs negative energy then maybe get 2 gold ones. 3 is still a very good number when it comes to Chinese folklore and luck. You could also get smaller tanks and try putting them where ever they fit if you still want to try for the full 8. (My younger brother has tanks in his living room, spare bedroom, bathroom and bedroom. His tanks are massive and he doesnt have goldfish but on a smaller scale this could work well for you.)

A fish tank in the home. Fish that are healthy and strong. Many feng shui consultants request 8 goldfish and 1 black coloured goldfish in the tank. The black coloured goldfish absorbs the negative energy in the home.

Have you ever been to a place that completly follows the principales of feng shui?

have you ever been to a place that completly follows the principales of feng shui?
fengshui is not a belief: you do not have to believe it for it to work.fengshui is not a decorating tool: fengshui is a compilation of concepts used to measure and calculate direction and location of good energy or bad energy in our environment. it is precise and accurate.fengshui does enhance our luck. it can enhance our health or our wealth luck, but usually not both. my master always remind us to always go for the money. because if you get sick, you always have money to make you better.there are no principles in fengshui, only different concepts, each using a system. fengshui is meticulous. it is not clean the clutter and you are done!as i said, to do fengshui, you need to calculate where the good and bad areas in your house. then distribute the different rooms based on fengshui. for the good areas, you need to use them; for the bad areas, you need to leave them alone - you can put the toilet, storage room, or garage here. and double check with the other concept, if this arrangement is good for you. because other systems don't usually go hand in hand with other concepts. so you need to double check. it is better to have your solution/ arrangement supported by 2 or more concept.fengshui is not putting an aquarium and you activate the room. because water can also activate the bad energy in the room. and knowing if the room has good or bad energy needs calculation than intuition. fengshui does not need intuition to do.

Good feng shui? Will a single betta fish in a small bowl attract good feng shui?

I have several betta fish in individual bowls or vases (large and small) in different rooms of my house. Is this good or bad for feng shui purposes? I keep the water very clean, but I wonder if this type of lone dwelling fish attracts positive energy or negative?

there is no fish out there that will attract good fengshui! it is not the fish! the secret lies in the location/ direction where you put the water (where the fish is). in fengshui, the flying stars concept/ technique is used to calculate for the location of the good chi and the bad chi in your house. it also describes their individual characteristics. when you use a specific area, you "activate" that area, making the characteristic of the chi to happen in our reality. for example, an area has a bad chi, when you use the area, then the bad thing will happen. there are many ways to activate an area. one of which is to put a moving water, or water with an aerator as in an aquarium. fengshui people like to mislead their audiences so that you won't know their trade secrets, hence they emphasize the kinds/ colors/ number of fishes to use.
regarding flying stars, the emphasis is the location of the chi, and remember that not all chi is good, there are also bad chi. in flying stars, 3 sets of 1-9 are "flown" in a tic-tac-toe grid (3 rows by 3 columns); 3 sets representing mountain (health), water (money), and base/time. the calculation is based on the facing degree of your front door or most yang door of your house, and move-in date or when did you first used your house. you will end up with 9 sets of 3 number combinations. each number is represented by an element, characteristic, material, family member, etc.; when the numbers combine they interact and form new energy, this is the energy of the location in the house. so, using this technique, you can analyze where to put your kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathrooms, etc. and activate the good areas by using them or putting aquariums or moving water features; and leave the avoid using where the bad energy is.

According to Eight Mansions Feng Shui, the north sector is about "career" and is related to the number "1", the element "water", the color "black". So it is believed that for symbolism purposes if you place one black fish in a bowl of water, it will help your career.
However, there are other sectors where you can place this symbolism because water feeds wood in Feng Shui so one element enhances the other. These areas are the East for Health and the Southeast for Wealth.
I love this aspect of Feng Shui and find that visualization, in general, is a wonderful thing however, it does take a lot of self-work in conjunction -- after all, nothing happens by magic. You have to want these changes deep-down -- you have to believe they are possible -- or else you might be just wasting your time.

On a more technical level, the south east corner is the one most people have heard about. In feng shui, it is the wealth corner, once again fill it with greens. A small water feature in this sector is excellent as are any symbols of water, including fishes and frogs.
If you calculate your Kua you can find out more, for example for Kua 2 - The Northeast sector is your prosperity location. You would also do well to place a Goldfish bowl, Aquarium, miniature fountain, or pictures of water scenes in this location. You might also use floating candles in this area.

Has Feng Shui ever worked for you, or is it just a marketing scam?

With Feng Shui "experts" all claiming different theories, conducting seminars, publishing books and selling "lucky" trinkets, it's hard to tell who'sa hoax and who's for real. Can it really improve the flow of "chi" (positive energy) into your life and deflect bad luck? What's your experience with Feng Shui?
Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art form that harnesses the flow of energies according to the four elements of water, fire, wind and earth, and has been practised for thousands of years. Unfortunately it has become so commercialised (in the West and even in Asia) that it seems like a "New Age" scam, which is ironic, isn';t it?

The problem with Feng Shui nowadays is with all the new age Feng Shui sources (which surprisingly claim to be the authentic) that are tarnishing the name of traditional Feng Shui. Most of the Feng Shui books you read nowadays are those following the new age Feng Shui concept (e.g. Black Hat Sect, Intuitive, etc) which either generalize everything or just plain make up their own rules (e.g. "the color purple feels...correct here"). What is annoying is the fact that these new age feng shui "masters" seem to think that everything can be solved with a crystal ball or windchime. The truly authentic schools of feng shui involve actual calculations and are based on the five elements and its harmony.
When used properly (ie ignoring the books that generalize everything such as : west is your wealth corner for everyone), it really does work. You have to keep in mind of the role of feng shui in the bigger picture. A person has three types of luck: heaven, earth, and destiny. Feng Shui only controls earth luck, and heaven and destiny luck is not in your control. This means, if you're not destined to be a millionaire, no amount of feng shui will help you be one.

lol I have seen a lot on that feng shui but not sure if it works but have wondered myself you know like having all red to one side of the room or having all green to the other side me I got all different colors all over so that may be why I am so confused all the time,,lol I will have to try it some day and see if my life gets better,,lol good question but i am not sure if it works at all have heard that it does,, but to me I guess I will have to see before I believe it,,lol

I decided to follow it a little bit and have gotten pretty much no difference, especially in what I was trying to go for the most. I say don't bother. But if you do, don't go out of your way to spend money on it. You can find out pretty much anything you'd want to know for free online. You can re-arrange things for free at least, rather than buy stuff to reach your goal. But I suggest using your energy to directly impact your life rather than reorganize things to hope your luck improves.(I'm not a complete skeptic with new age things, I've just had no luck with feng shui)

We all want to have comfortable lives. We would do anything to find these comforts. Feng Shui is becoming like a religion to some people. In fact it can be a religion if you believe in it so much that you hardly remember your own religion. Let every Feng Shui master and madam make all poor men's dreams come true. Then we will have a rich nation. Nobody have to live in squatters. Nobody have to go without money. Everyone can get an education. All can get food into their stomach. They will have nice clothes to wear. And everyone will live happily ever after.

How to use Feng Shui to make an overstayed welcome parent move out of your house?

I am need of advice on how to use feng shui or any other tips to make my father move out of mine and my husband's house. He has been here too long and doesn't not seem to have any notion to leave. He is retired and says he just wants to be around us! His stay is getting bothersome to us but we do not want to hurt his feelings. I was hoping there was some feng shui cure for this but can't seem to find any. And we are in the process of trying to sell our house, so the feng shui correction can not interfere with that.
I just want to add that my father is healthy and has retired with a good deal of money. He does not "need" to stay with us. He can easliy afford something close to us. We love him dearly but as an adult, you move out of your parents house and you don't expect them to move back in with you - especially since he does not need to be cared for. It puts a strain on our marriage (only 4 years married) because we sometimes have no time to ourselves. I just want some advice on how to help him understand that we need our space too!
For those of you who feel sorry for my dad that I feel this way, you should know one more thing...
He does not help out with money, groceries or anything but expects me to cook and clean for him. He also sits out back of my house almost every day and just drinks beer - sometimes 12 a day. Now, I have 3 children - 12, 3 and 5 months and this is something that I don't want them exposed to. My dad can't even help babysit if I need to do something because he typically has already had too many beers.

I'm a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner but, unfortunately, don't know of any Feng Shui cure for this...but you know what works?
Being honest!!!
It may be time for you and your husband to discuss openly and honestly with your father-in-law that it's time for him to move on. Before you do, come up with options for where he will move, times he can visit, etc.
Honesty is the best policy! Even if your in-law gets a little hurt up front, if you tell him in a loving and kind way that you two want your privacy back -- that it's not about him -- that you love him, etc. then even if it's emotionally difficult, it'll still be for the best for all.

you need to have a talk with your Dad. I don't feel sorry for him and I am probably his age. If you are married have your husband talk to him. He can always buy a place close to you since he sounds financially secure. I think he is taking advantage of you and I wouldn't want my kids around someone who drinks 12 bottle of beer a day. You must be tactful, but direct

You may want to re-think your intention. It sounds like you may be coming at the issue from a negative outlook. Feng shui will not support negative energy. Since you're selling your house, your father will have to move eventually. Rather than seeing him as a nuisance you want to get rid of, try adjusting your intention to a more positive one. Intend that your father find a new home where he can be comfortable and happy and still enjoy a close relationship with you.
Sometimes the best cure is love and compassion. Try talking to him about how you feel. Let him know that you love him and want to spend time with him but that you also need your own lives. Help him find a place where he can be happy and maybe find companionship as well. If you approach him with a loving attitude rather than one of annoyance, the right words will come and he might be more understanding that you think.

Feng shui numerology?

Does anyone know if 2414 is a bad feng shui number? That's my address, and I read on some Feng Shui websites that 2414 means easily death and must death. Can you tell me is my address really bad and if so, what do I need to do? please let me know ASAP.

i don't think 2414 means death, but because it has a 2, which means illness, therefore it makes the whole combination, not that good. but in general it is good. because you have a 41 or 14 combination which is a special combination for romance/ education. though 2 in 14 or 41 can mean problems of the heart or studies/ education/ career.
death on the other hand is symbolized by 5. 5 in chinese is the core of earth, where there is no money and no health. while 2 means no life. the combination of these 2 numbers is the worst of all combinations.
but there are ways in fengshui how to make these numbers good. that is why there is fengshui to make life easier!

In cantonese, 2 (Yee) sounds like "easy" and 4 (Sei) sounds like "death." Also, the way to say must in cantonese is "yut ding." In your case, it applies because "Yut" is how you say ONE in cantonese.

Does a front door into a house that faces a bathroom door mean anything?

A front door that opens in facing a bathroom door straight ahead.
Personally I dont know if I give much belief to Feng Shui, but the if the bathroom door is left open and someone is entering the house at the front door it really bothers me. Actually I dont like it even if the bathroom door is shut, so can anyone knowlegable in such things please let me know what Feng Shui says about this design in a house.

In the context of Feng Shui, it's not a very good layout.
*The Logic*Your entrance is one of the main entities for chi to enter your home. Fresh air is considered very good chi. If the first thing it flows into is your bathroom (a negative entity), the chi will adopt the negative entities.
You may notice that in many asian households/buildings that right after the main entrance, there is something very auspicious or pleasant to greet the incoming chi (and to slow it down) so it will adopt positive qualities.
*The Solution*If possible, keep the door closed at all times (better still if you don't use it at all) and place something like a large plant blocking the bathroom door. If it has to be used, then place something auspicious to greet the incoming chi which will disperse it in different directions instead of going straight into the bathroom.

this only becomes a no no, if you live inside the bathroom - as 2 doors in a straight line means that life is fast or easy to die, therefore not good. but in this case, i think it is good, because it means that you dispose of your wastes easily - in fengshui terms. if this bothers you, put a divider between them.

Feng Shui; questions in general?

Just for me to be clear on a few things: Feng Shui originated in China, True or False? When did Feng Shui originate? Does it have a 'creator'?

Feng Shui did originate in china, I am not sure about the actual originating date but i do know that it was used in city planning in the 12th century. Citys were planned with the gate always to the south and barriers of mountains, walls, water were assembled to the north, east and west. The reason was to capture the positive energy which flowed from the south and block the neg energy which came from the other directions. It basically stems from the oldest elements of ancient chinese philosophy so you probably not find a specific date.

Feng shui (pronounced "fung shway") is the ancient Chinese practice of placement and arrangement of space to achieve harmony with the environment. The literal translation is "wind and water".
Feng shui involves the use of geographical, psychological, philosophical, mathematical, aesthetic, and astrological concepts in relation to space and energy flow.[1] It is not simply a decorating style, but a discipline with guidelines compatible with many different techniques of architectural planning.
The source of the term is purported to come from the Burial Book written by Guo Pu (郭璞) in the Jin Dynasty (晉朝). Qi (氣), the energy of the universe, is carried in the wind and retained within water. Both elements were used as a way of directing Qi, thus giving feng shui its name. Wind is said to carry energy or Qi and therefore represents the principle of change and transformation in nature. Water is said to hold energy and therefore represents the principle of stability. When applied to human affairs, wind is also representative of action, fervor, and enthusiasm, whereas water is representative of internal strength, meditative qualities, and psychological power. By relating the holding and dispersing qualities of water and wind in nature to those in human behavior, feng shui also seeks to improve the human condition through the manipulation of physical space in a way that will impact on its corresponding qualities in humans.
An individual is usually not described as having bad or incorrect feng shui, but since the practice is linked to Qi, a persons energy can either deplete or add to the energy of his or her surroundings. The space can also effect the individual, especially in matters of luck, health, and prosperity. Feng shui is not only a practice that is related to physical space, but also to the inhabitors of the space it self, as both are interconnected.

fengshui was created in china for about more than 4,000 years. nobody really knows who created it.
in the early years it was created to increase yield of crops. later it was adapted to win wars by the military during the different dynasties. thus, during these years only top military officials are permitted to study fengshui.
during mao's regime, a lot has been burned and forgotten. many chinese fled china. and those who survived in different places practiced fengshui either from ancestors or from chinese books.
most chinese books are not written straight forward - thus, it does not mean that if you know chinese, you'd know how to read chinese fengshui books. it is not the case. chinese books are usualluy written in codes and poems that you need to decipher them. because fengshui masters before fear that the knowledge might fall onto the wrong hands. thus, they wrote it in a way that only fenghsui practitioners can understand it.
now, fengshui is again adapted for everyday living and business.

Feng Shui for wealth? Wind Chimes for a staircase?

Hi, My staircase lines directly with my front door. Bad Feng Shui, according to what I have read. How do I place wind chimes to postively affect this? Also, anyone have sites or personal experience with increases in financial wealth while practicing Feng Shui?? Thanks!

first, do not use a windchime. windchime can attract bad elements into the house, like spirits and ghosts.
second, there are really some instances that fengshui is bad, and there is no remedy you can do to improve the situation. because in fengshui, there is a time element. meaning, even when you do a remedy, the bad is dormant, until when the right time comes and reactivate. thus, in these cases, it is better to renovate and make the bad into a good fengshui.
third, if your staircase is a winding staircase like a screw it goes around downward, then it is bad. because in fengshui the bad gets worse when it is pressed downward. in this case, there is no remedy.
if you have an ordinary straight stairs, don't worry so much. the remedy for this is to have a bright light installed in this stairs, then paint bright red on the walls and have red tiles on the stairs. and install a good door that is always closed tight at the end of the stairs. do not paint red if this area is the southwest area of the house. because you can activate the ghost area.
regarding websites, i do not think that there is a good website detailing the concepts to increase wealth luck. try attending fengshui seminars regarding water placements or water dragons.

Some believe that windchimes in the house are not good. the wind chime should be placed directly above the bottom step and should have a good breeze. What I did is tape red tape along the bottom of the step and threw a red rug over top of it.
I also used purple and green in the Prosperity section of my home and then cleaned the entire house from top to bottom. All broken objects should be removed. Any object that you don't like should leave.
Also make sure all prosperity sections have some purple or red in them. Make sure your Stove is immaculate and place a teapot on it.

Feng Shui: Goldfish in my bedroom?

I live at home, so can only really redecorate my own bedroom. I was looking on Yahoo! about Feng Shui and thought it'd be cool to bring some luck and love into my life by having a fish bowl in my room. Some people say 6 gold, 1 black fish, some say 7 gold and 1 black goldfish. Does anyone know for sure?
I was also reading some other answers/tips about Feng Shui and a person said not to put water features in your bedroom like an aquarium.
That puts a damp on my idea of putting a fish tank in my room.
Is it true that gold fish need 5-10 gallons of water each? That is an awful lot! Maybe 2 gold and 1 black goldfish is okay?

first bedroom should not have any water feature like an aquarium. because water is such a powerful element that it can turn a bedroom into more yang. thus, you will have some problems sleeping and living in that bedroom. likewise, a bedroom should not have any plants either.
water features are only used in fengshui basically not to decorate but more to activate an area. but in fengshui, it is also important to do it subtly - thus, others wouldn't suspect that you're using fengshui.

it doesn't really matter how much water there is just make sure that each fish has enough room to swim. i heard that it's 6 gold fish and 1 black. hope this helped! :-)

Feng Shui in the Kitchen, is red or black or blue really bad?

The condo that I decided to buy has oak cabinets with a natural finish and I can pick the color granite. Im leaning toward a feng shui atmosphere but I cannot figure out the best color. Would an absolute black counter and backsplash be too much? Would it look better with some red glass tile? I read that blue, black and red are bad for the kitchen in feng shui. The condo is open so the kitchen will be visible all the time. We like the reds and oranges and might do that in the living room with our brown furniture. Im lost! Help! Would red be too much in the kitchen if we plan on doing it in the living room also?

Feng shui kitchens are considered one of the most important area of your home for health, wealth, and family harmony.
The colors that are okay are:
Any shade of yellow, red, brown or white are all good in the kitchen, but try to avoid a strong presence of water with the blue and black, because they put down the fire aspects. Feng shui is all about balance, one element can overpower and cancel another, yet you need different elements to be balanced for a space.
So, definitely go with what you love with the reds, and orange, and the brown furniture in you living room is fine.
The counter should not be black if you want true feng shui. You need the fire elements in a kitchen and water will just put that out. The red glass sounds great. There are a lot of granites that have red and copper flecks in them, may try going in that direction. Good luck.

according to classical feng shui, it depends on the direction the house is orriented (yang side or facing side and yin side or sitting side). based on this and the year your condo was built, each room houses a combination of elements interacting harmoniously or inharmoniously. so the colors and furniture one would want to put there would either help harmonize two inharmonious elements, tone down an unlucky element, or enhance a lucky element. this is according to the origional chinese form of feng shui.
surprisingly, you can figure it all out by using the idiot's guide to feng shui!

chinese fengshui is never about color nor style of interior design. you can have a very american home with a very good fengshui.
with regards to color, people who knows fengshui are just cautious about using the color red (and bright orange and yellow), as these colors can "activate" both good chi and bad chi. when good chi is activated, then good things happen; when bad chi is activated even by unintendedly, then bad things or accidents happen.
it is more difficult to apply fengshui to a condo than a house. because in a condo, your main front door is not the door that you use (in your floor), instead it is the front door of the whole building which all people are using. because of this, it is difficult to do a remedy to this front door, and you end up rearranging the insides of your condo unit.
best advice i can give you is to hire somebody who knows fengshui to audit your home.
on the other hand, you can go ahead and do what you like. but if the fengshui of your kitchen will have a bed effect on your life - you will know, because the kitchen has a direct effect on how you attract money in your life. if your kitchen have a major bad fengshui. then you will end up with major money problems. and you will feel as though there is no light at the end of the tunnel.
another observation of mine regarding fengshui in condos, look at your neighbors, because all of the occupants of a condo share the same front door, more or less your lifestyle will be at the same range. if 50% of the occupants are middle class, then it follows that you also will have that kind of lifestyle.

Feng shui...we are getting our house ready to move into and I need some basic tips before painting.?

Do you know of any, to the point, accurate, web sites that explain colors and positioning of feng shui (sp?). We are picking out our colors tomorrow for the house. I know almost nothing about feng shui at this point, however have heard that it is connected with your zodiac in some ways. Are there any web sites that explain this so I can figure out what my elements mean in my house.

i am sorry but chinese fengshui is not as easy as most people think. there is no website that will give you free info that works. the closest you can get is get the book by eva wong on flying stars or lillian too on flying stars and 8 mansions.
fengshui is not about arranging the furnitures, or painting the house a certain color. it is more than those things. that is why, fengshui can increase wealth or improve your health in about 2-3 weeks - this is real fengshui. things posted on the web do not work that fast, because they aren't about the fengshui concepts.
so what is fengshui like? well, there are many concepts, flying stars locate the good and bad areas in the house, then you use these to enhance your life. for example, you put the bedroom, living room and main door at the good areas/ direction; while the kitchen, toilet and stairs take the bad areas. then you position the stove, to attract more wealth into your life. you also use other concepts like 8 mansions to position beds, furnitures inside each room. then you use xuan kong da gua (another concept) to locate the doors in each of the rooms to make them healthy to the occupants. then you can also activate the current water star (flying star) to make the house financially lucky, and the current mountain star to make it more healthy for the people living in the house. this is fengshui.

For those who don't have time for a proper Feng Shui consultant or would rather not dabble too much in the various rulings: use a soothing pastel color. Truth be told, if you were to follow the most optimal color, you would have to change it almost on a yearly basis.

Feng Shui door position question?

As I embark on my journey towards total harmony in life (HAHA) I've decided that a good starting point would be feng-shuiing my room. Now, after reading up on this art, I've realized that an integral part of feng-shui is the Ba-gua shape, and that the 8 corners are defined by the position of the main entrance door. Problem is, when you walk into my bedroom, you have to take an immediate left to enter the main room. This little "alcove" is small, small enough to walk diagonally through and still get into the room, but, it still affects the position of the Ba-gua, I'm assuming. You basically walk in, face a blank wall, and have to adjust your walking line slightly. So, my question is...WHERE are the eight Ba-gua "corners" (fame, relationships, family life, ETC.) according to my bedroom. Also, what are some tips for feng-shuiing my room? For instance, I'v heard about placing two pink candles in the love corner of my room. Any more of these types of "ch'i-boosting" tips are welcome. Thanks

to more about chinese fengshui, forget all that you have read from books. because most of them talk about a so called fengshui that is fake. think about it, if you are going to have a hosue that is to have a good fengshui based of this kind of fengshui, it won't have a bathroom anywhere inside the house, because it can cause a bad effect on that part/ aspect of your life. think about it.
second, there are a few books written that can be regard as true fengshui: a couple of authors: ms. lillian too and ms. eva wong. but you need to realize that no authors have written all of the fengshui in 1 book. and these authors have not included the secret uses of these techniques in their books. so to get an easier way to this. it is always a good idea to just hire somebody who knows fengshui.

Feng shui anyone?

I know one of the rules for feng shui is not to have anything heavy hanging on the wall above your bed. I have a heavy mirror with a shelf ( looks like a window ) i have moved it around my apt but i feel it looks best above my bed. Is there anything i can do to counter this "bad chi"? like hanging a crystal or something?

Also..if it looks right and "feels" right for it to be above my bed wouldn't that be enough in the world of feng shui?
i know that you want to have your cake and eat it too. but in the world of fengshui, there is no such thing.
i for one do not believe in remedies, because a remedy just make a bad into a neutral temporarily, then when right time comes, the bad will happen whether you have installed your remedy or not.
besides when you are really good in fengshui, you can do a lot of things to make the bad situation good.
in this case, the best thing to do is to remove the mirror and store it somewhere else.
a mirror does more harm than good, if it is placed in the bedroom. having you or someone else see your reflection while your in bed is like you in a casket, or simply death.
this does not have to do anything with how you feel or believe. fengshui is not based on your beliefs or anybody else's in the first place. it just works by itself.
hanging crystals in the bedroom only makes your bedroom more yang, which can aggraviate the problem more.
the thing with bedrooms, is that it is better to keep them simple, more yin, you are there to sleep, not watch tv, not surf the internet, nor enjoy listening to music - these are all yang, which must be done in the living room.
and i think the mirror is more appropriate in the living room than the bedroom.
to the person who answered that a mirror is a very useful tool in fengshui, it is evident that you do not know anything about fengshui and that you got most of your information from books. at the core of fengshui are the fengshui concepts. when you understand and know how to use these concepts. you can use other tools aside from mirrors. have you seen a well fengshui'd house full of mirrors??? i don't even think that there is a building in hongkong full of mirrors. because they do more bad than good. - this proves that the information published in most books and websites are free because they are useless!

Mirrors serve many purposes in feng shui. They influence energy by: Activating or circulating or reflecting or deflecting or amplifying or multiplying or doubling or projecting.
Mirrors bring light to dark, push away negative energy, activate a stagnant room, energize a missing corner, and double positive & negative energy. Ex: plant in front of a mirror doubles living energy. If a mirror reflects garbage, you are doubling the trash - not a good idea.
Allow mirror to reflect beauty. Do not allow clutter to accumulate in front of a mirror. The mirror should not reflect you, the door, or a window in a bedroom.

Does anyone know of any study abroad programs in Asia for Feng Shui?

Does anyone know of any study abroad programs in Asia for Feng Shui? I am from the USA and want to conduct an independent study for a Masters Program in Design focusing on the various traditions of Feng Shui in Asia. Not sure how to find programs abroad that are in English. Any clues would be hepful.

i have been studying fengshui under master peter leung, who is based in toronto. he usually have seminars in toronto and in singapore. this coming november, he will be in singapore teaching qi men dun jia (which is for advanced students), water placements and xuan kong da gua.

I always hear my parents, aunts, and uncles talking about Feng Shui since I am Chinese and Vietnamese. I dont really know any study abroad programs but I think you could find some here in America. The adults have a book that they read and they always follow the teachings. When we buy a new house, we even look at the direction the house is facing because of Feng Shui.

Why good feng shui comes in three?

Someone told me that good feng shui comes in three. I have two lucky bamboo and two is bad. They said I should go get another lucky bamboo to make it three because three is good feng shui. Why does good feng shui comes in there?
The number three in traditional Feng Shui is considered to be auspicious because it means/symbolizes creation/renewal. You'll notice that many Feng Shui enhancers and remedies come in the form of threes and with good reasoning.
You'll notice three coins tied with a red ribbon which is used for the creation of wealth (the coins are considered to boost wealth). The Fu Lu Shou (aka Three Star Gods) who create harmony and three blessings into your home. The list goes on of many auspicious entities or events in history that involve the number three.
There are other lucky numbers in Feng Shui though, the most famous one being 8 (prosperity) and 9 (longevity).

understanding fengshui isn't really that easy. you need to know why is the bamboo for in the first place.
the numbers 3 and 4 are not lucky numbers. but each of these numbers become lucky when each one of them combine with certain numbers. because these numbers present the element wood. thus, using 3 bamboos is just like having 2 wood elements in that area (1. for having bamboo, 2. for the 3 units of bamboo).
but i like to emphasize for you to use number 4 or having 4 green plants or bamboo. because the number 4 when combined with 1 signifies love or education; and when combine with 9 it forms the celebration of life/ family.
on the other hand, the number 3 always signifies conflict, even when the combination is good; while number 2 signifies illness
so having 4 green plants is like having triple wood element, because:
1). 4 units = wood
2). being green = wood
3). plant itself = wood
since you are watering it everyday. water is 1. thus, you get 4 and 1, which is a good combination.
in 2008, it is best to place 9 green plants at the east most and southeast most parts of the house, for you to attract new people into you life. this also means that you attract potential customers into your business. do not put the plants if the area is a toilet or a bedroom. and remove them when some people bothers you.

That was bad Feng shui to place the vacuum everywhere.

recently i left the vacuum by the front door and when my wife came home she scolded me for leaving by the front door saying it was bad feng shui to do this, i responded by saying that when feng shui was invented they didnt have electricity so how could it be bad feng shui, shouldn't she just be happy that i vacuum everyday and do the laundry and take care of the kids and do the cooking and cleaning and shopping, and pay for most of the bills from my income

Technically your wife is correct. It is bad feng shui. It's similar to leaving a trash can by your front door. It blocks the flow of chi.

The main thing is not the vacuum, but is what was in the vacuum.

Fengshui believes that the openings of the house has to be kept clean, as that's where the Chi would flow through the house.

However, if one was to leave trash or leave the door cluttered or dirty, the 'good' chi from the outside, would be either be tainted or the flow obstructed

Hence, as your vacuum acts as a receptacle for the dirt that he had sucked up, the presence of the vacuum could potientially contaminate the 'chi' flow.

However, i think your overreacted a bit for if left for a few days, the impact would not be so great

Some very logical and real aspects to Feng Shui and placement of home.

There are some very logical and real aspects to Feng Shui and placement of home. It should have solid support in the back, some support on the sides and some in the front plus openess to bring in wonderful energy.
The flow of your home is important. The energy should not come straight in the front door and straight out the back door -- it should meander its way through the home in a wonderful way.
Don't choose a home at the end of a straight street or where there are many poison arrrows hitting it. These are straight streets or lines that slam directly into your home. Also, a very busy street is too much energy going by and you will never feel relaxed. Don't choose a home on the outside of a curve which is a very logical thing not to do anyway. For example, a car out of control at this turn could slam into your home.
They say that living near a cemetary -- though quiet -- is not good because you will always feel the grief in the air. Living near to a hospital or fire station could just be plain noisy.
In terms of inside the home, when I was married, we bought a home where the owners were going through such a bad divorce that they couldn't even sit in the same room for the closing and we had to do our closing twice!!! Eventually, we got divorced too and I really do believe that the energies of the people can go from owner to owner. For example, we got divorced too!!! I have a feeling the next couple who bought the house from us may have gotten divorced as well. You could ask for divine intervention, use some bells, chimes and smudge some sage to clear out these dark energies.
do believe there are truths to Feng Shui and the energies in a space. I believe many are just plain logic and many are real energies. You can change some and you can't change others -- they are stuck there forever because some are even immersed into the land. Just use your intuition and trust your heart about what feels good to you!
If in doubt, hire a professional Feng Shui Consultant to help .

Can i fix the bad home to make the Feng shui better?

I plan to purchase a home, location is ok, but feng shui is bad, is feng shui real and should i not buy a home because of it? If feng shui is bad on the home like where the door is fixing and such, can i fix the home to make the feng shui better?
how did you know that the house has a bad fengshui, if you don't know fengshui? i am just curious. because if you know what is wrong with it, then you must know how to correct it.fengshui does not only deal with the inside/ contents of the house, but the most important aspect that most people fail to consider is the location of the house - does it have good fengshui; because chi travels on the roads outside the house. these roads deliver chi to your house. chi can be good, it can also be bad.regarding fengshui solutions, it really depends on the fengshui concept that you are using. like in flying stars, you can have a major (at least 2/3's of house) renovation and replace or repaint the roof to change the period of the house, thereby changing the flying star chart of the house. but you need to know what you doing. fengshui, is not based on guessing or trial and error. but the concepts are used by fengshui masters/ practitioners to measure, calculate and analyze situations regarding your house.most people will say that a slanted door might be bad, but if it was tilted for a reason - in fengshui, this can be good, depends on the concept you are using.
I am all for Feng Shui and anything else that is good for me and not harmfull. I also know that you can add furniture and make adjustments to change the feng shui of your home however there are things you cant change such as a home in a dead end means you will fail if you open a business and a home located at the end of an intersection is very bad and unchangeable. Its very complicated as a house facing South is lucky but if you can see the fireplace or back door from your front door is unlucky. No way to achieve perfect Feng Shui unless you purchase the perfect land and build it yourself! Good Luck!
Feng Shui is about creating an environment that will support your health, wealth, relationships, and, happiness. Think about it, if you are in a space that you are comfortable in and feel energize in, you will be more productive and healthier in both your mental and physcial well being.
It has been proven time and time again that we are creatures of our environment. For example, let say it is a beatiful day with blue skies and sunshine outside. If this were the case, you would want to be outside and enjoy the day. You would feel more energize and in a good mood. However, if its cloudy, drizzling, and cold, you wouldn't want to be outside and your mood changes. That is why Feng Shui is important, because it looks at your environment and aims to create a space that makes you feel more energize and productive. This in turn leads to better health, stronger relationships, and improve finances. Every aspects of our lives are linked. Even if you have lots of money and your health is terrible, that is not happiness. Or vice versa, if you are in great health, but you are so stress because you are living pay check to pay check, that is not happiness either. Feng Shui's aim is to balance all aspects of our lives by creating an environment that has good chi or energy.
To answer your question, you need to consider how much work you have to put in to fix the Feng Shui of the home. If it is just minor and easily fixable and the house is in a good location, then go for it. However, if the home requires major rennvoation and can be costly to fix, it is advised to look for another property. It is better to start off with a good home in a good location with good Feng Shui. However, keep in mind there is no such thing as perfect Feng Shui. Every property needs some adjustment, it is a matter of how extensive the adjustments are and how costly.

Depending on how many modifications are needed to fix the issues. If they cost to much, it may not be worthwhile.

The aspects to chose a new house is,
1. The location of the house
2. The right time and the right direction to move in the house
3. The house's layout, exterior, interior and etc
Feng Shui is so deep and detailed to determine if the house is good or bad. It's impossible to tell you what to do over the Internet.

Has feng shui worked for you? If so, how?

Feng shui (pronounced fung-shway), the pattern of wind & water, is the Taoist art and science of living in harmony with the environment. It includes the placement of one's home or business on the building site, the arrangement of furnishings within the home and office and the purposeful design of interiors and landscapes to enhance chi, the life-giving energy. Taken to it's deepest level, feng shui creates external environments to enhance the journey of the soul.
Feng shui is an environmental medicine creating the frequencies which stimulate well-being. It places the ordinary items of your daily material reality, such as plants, furniture, lighting and color, in positions which create a harmonic resonance with good fortune.

Feng shui worked awesomely for the company I used to work for. They were a very small natural supplement company, and after a Feng Shui master came into the office and recommended changes, there was more of a sense of harmony and free flowing energy. The company MORE than surpassed the million dollar a year mark they were aiming for.
thanks for showing that feng shui works, not only for personal, but business life!

Where to place my personal library to fit Feng shui fashion?

I am trying to incorporate Feng Shui techniques and activations throughout my new home and I am at a loss for thoughts on where to place all of my personal reading material? I own several hundred books dealing with everything from my line of work, to psychology and health, relationships, investing, self-help and on... I currently have 4 bookshelves and I am wondering how to organize my books throughout my home. Is there a technique to create the best chi flow from the books into my home and life?? Should I place business reference and motivation in my home office, relationship and intimate reads in my master bedroom and conversational, world culture etc in the family room? Any Feng Shui masters or practitioners with insight will be greatly appreciated. Also feel free to divulge any other prescriptions, recommendations or tips you have to offer.
first, you cannot incorporate fengshui into your house by having simple adjustments - it will be a big renovation headache! thus, most people who likes to incorporate fengshui into their houses don't, esp if they consult a fengshui auditor. the reason behind this is that in order for fengshui to have a good impact in the lives of the occupants, the whole house must have at least 67% (2/3's) good fengshui; anything less, then the bad fengshui can harm the good fengshui, and it will have a mixed result.
fengshui is not as easy as arrangement of furnitures or where to put what. because if you have a big house, but the locations of stairs, hallways, rooms (living room, kitchen, garage, toilets, etc.), posts, and other parts of the house that cannot be changed do not take advantage of the fengshui of the house, then it is difficult to make the adjustments.
basically, fengshui is knowing where the location/ direction of good energy and bad energy, and using these to your advantage. but it is not that simple, because there are many techniques or concepts. and these are not freely available in books nor in websites.
there are simple fengshui stuffs (like the bed cannot face the window). but these do not have a significantly good effect. the fengshui techniques have.
the easiest you can do is consult a fengshui master or an auditor.
regarding books, there are no techniques involving books. there is a technique to locate your desk to make you work harder (esp if you're a student).

Feng Shui - Can you "fix" a house headed in "wrong" direction?

I juts moved into a very small condo which is situated in such a way where there is not much you can re-arrange according to furniture.
According to my personal number (4) I am facing in exactly the very worst direction for everything (NW facing in computer, couch and head of bed). I am following allthe other rules of feng shui as far as clutter, downplaying bathroom energy, colors, candles in certain area to activate, etc.... BUT I am concerned of the inability to do anything but face my worst possible direction.
How harmful is this?
Is there something that can be done with mirrors or anything else to fix this?
This is a very important and cruicial time inmy life and I need ALL the help I can get, which is why I am being so careful with the feng shui right.
Please respond only if you hav a good background in feng shui and really know what can be done

> fengshui is dependent on space which holds the chi, less space means less chi, which means insignificant impact on your life, even if you get your fengshui right. do you know anybody who is very rich and lives in a tiny house?

> next please do not mix chinese fengshui with clutter fengshui. evidently, clutter fengshui is easily handed from writer to the world, because it does not work. on the other hand, chinese fengshui still remains a mystery to the rest of the world, because it is the real thing that businessmen pay good money for.
regarding fengshui of condo units, it is not as easy as doing fengshui of an ordinary house. there are many issues. a condo is like a house with many rooms, thus, when getting its facing you get the door connecting the outside world to the inside of the condo - this is the main door of the condo, downstairs - NOT THE DOOR OF YOUR UNIT! again, this is an issue in the fengshui world, that is debateable among masters. but i do take the main door of the condo, not your unit. because if i were to do fengshui in a house. i do not do fengshui just to a bedroom, but to the whole house. and the fengshui of the bedroom depends on the fengshui of the whole house. this means that your unit depends on the fengshui of the whole condo.
regarding your personal number 4 and if NW is the facing of the condo (not your unit), i think this thought is based on 8 mansions. it is bad, but there is nothing you can do, unless you can tilt the main door of the whole condominium. that or move.
i think, if you're really insisting to stay in this unit, there is really nothing you can do to change your future, but work harder at it. as i said, fengshui depends on space, which holds the chi. there are many things you can do to improve your life, but they all include a bigger space, and freedom to change your environment to accomodate your better life. without that, then you are stuck. i do not really believe in remedies. again these are the things handed easily out by eager writers, because they DO NOT WORK - a remedy makes something bad temporarily neutral. but that neutral becomes all the way evil/ bad when the right time comes along. because there is a time element with fengshui. same reason why there are lucky days and unlucky days in fengshui to move or get marry.
and all of these fengshui stuffs were not just conjured recently, they were devised more than 4,000 years ago by the chinese to increase crop yield to make the farmers' lives easier. now, they are adapted to make everyday life easier for a city dweller. but most of the people who want to include fengshui into their homes often find a hard time in doing so. because they often adjust their houses to accomodate fengshui, rather building a house based on fengshui, like what most chinese businessmen do before building their huge buildings, they first consult a fengshui master whether to buy a plot of land or not, and how are they going about building their masterpieces. i know that most people do not have the means to hire their own fengshui masters. but there are many who have studied from these masters. and you can hire them at a fraction of the cost getting a master. and this is a cheaper and wiser course of action than buying many books on fengshui, scouring the websites for answers or chatting in fengshui forums. i know, because i used to do them. but after that i took seminars from some masters, and throw aways the books, i bought.

Why qi-wish feng shui talk to much global warming but not real act ?

qi-wish talk to much science of fengshui but read this question
where is feng shui real environmental laboratory ?
Show me if fengshui numenorologi is real corespondence to nature (not push feng shui doctrine to people) ?
Show me if chi energi (sheng chi and sha chi) is exist in nature ?
Show me in straight empirical science report ? date, laboratory, regular independent journal (not sales promote) etc ?
where is the real feng shui environmental project ?
Coca-Cola, Proctor & Gamble, Hewlett-Packard and Ford Motors are also using feng shui, i think it's not real enviromental project ? it's kind of sales project ? Do you know all industry give enviromental more and more damage, so what's can you say abaut this case ?
China, Hongkong, Singapore & other country have loss million dollar by avian flu, so what's kind lucky (hoki) in this case ?
i think qi wish feng shui & her book & her web just sale fengshui to sound like real science but talk not serious or real science contexs

Sorry, I found your question a little hard to follow but I gather you don't believe that Feng Shui is an actual 'prescription' for curing environmental issues or improving energy, removing stagnation etc.
It is the art of placement...it is actually a very common sense approach to improving the environment around you...not necessarily the environment as it relates to global warming or weather conditions of any sort.
The Chi is an energy force that is said to flow through rooms, buildings, surroundings etc. It isn't a true wind but a belief that a source of energy (lack of entrapment) exists in homes, offices, buildings where furnishings and objects are placed in such a way as to allow this 'flow' to run freely thus energizing those who are in that particular room, office, building etc.
Much of Feng Shui is a mental thing, an acceptance that a non-cluttered, free moving area brings about a serene, calm and functional place to work, sleep, eat...there are those who use this as a way to produce income, some use it wisely, some not.
I've practiced this for a number of years now and to be quite honest, I've found it just a very common sense thing to do...my home is almost always a very serene, calm place and I can tell when something has piled up somewhere, gotten misplaced or moved etc because dependent upon were the mess might be situated, the effects are felt by us. A mess in our Relationship corner will suddenly show up in quarrels between siblings. A sudden outgo of money will show up if the toilet seat is left up with the bathroom door wide open (money down the toilet).
Since placing money items in our wealth corner, our income has been a constant flow...dividends, inheritance, increases in pay etc.
It's what you believe that works...if you are positive in this approach, you will find things beginning to work in your favor, if you aren't positive then you'll scoff at all things that take place and of course your life will have the proof of that.
If you don't mind living in a home or working in an office where piles upon piles of stuff are scattered about, disorganized, cluttered and causing claustrophobia...then you don't need to worry about Feng Shui, nor do you have to believe in it. But, if you want order in your life, calm, enjoyable atmosphere...then common sense dictates clean up your room/house/office and you'll find yourself more productive, less stressed and more able to meet the challenges of the day.
All common sense, no science, no magic...plain, simple neatness in just the right place and the right way.

Practiced Feng Shui for years and life improvements are beyond any expectations I had...I personally would not have my home any other way...

Please focus your question ?
You must isolate some thing, I Ching not Fengshui, Yin-Yang is not feng shui, Fengshui not only talk wind-water, the focus debate are numenorology (8 Mansion-gua year born, flaying star, the occult mathematics ) and chi.
Fengshui is fengshui not all.
Fengshui just one of a kind interpretation of I Ching & Ying Yang.Fengshui is kind of pollution material what have harm destroyed interpretation to greath wisdom I Ching & Yin Yang.
Feng shui has many school, every school are fight each other...I agree form school is just common sense not all
Someone who hate numenorology fengshui but still love I-Ching or Yin-Yang Philosophy. Look this statement :Chen Zhihua, professor at Tsinghua University :....."Feng shui is no science. It only fills the wallets of some charlatans," but looks...he said........I agree that I-Ching carries the great wisdom of our ancestors.

I Ching and Yin Yang philosophy is greath wisdom...every one need knows how....

what's the best plant I should keep in my bedroom? and which part of the bedroom should I put it in?

there shouldn't be a plant in the bedroom in fengshui; what part of the bedroom? outside the bedroom!
fengshui is not an art of inner peace. it does have many theories, systems and formulas. big reason why you pay a lot when consulting a master. you do not need gut feeling nor intuition in applying fengshui solutions. because they have their own logic. like if there is too much fire, you analyze what kind of fire is it? is it a big fire or a small fire? if it is big fire, then you put a big water or a salt water cure; a salt water cure for a small fire will create too much water! very logical in fengshui terms. no esp needed!
fengshui is not an art of inner peace, because it optimizes one's wealth or health by letting the person accumulate and use the right kind of energy/ chi. it just seems like furniture arrangement, but furniture arrangement is different. in fengshui, rooms/ parts of the house is being arranged to accumulate and maximize the use of good chi to optimize your health or wealth (it is not health and wealth).

Listen, feng shui is an art that pursues inner peace. It does it by arranging the furniture and making it pleasing (to YOUR soul).
What would give me an inner smile as I saw it, would probably not do to the same for you.
This isn't nuclear physics. There is no formula. Try a few different plants in a few different locations. Which one did you like the best? Did any of them make you feel good inside?

Feng Shui and fake plants/flowers as decoration in a house?

This is kind of a 2 part question. I heard on tv that fake plants and flowers are bad fend shui in a home. Anyone know if this is true? My mom has fake plants, trees, flowers all over her house and its the house I grew up in and I never was really comfortable there. I dont really consider it my childhood "home", that title goes to house i lived in when i was even younger. Of course there could be a million reasons for why I would feel that way, feng shui might have nothing to do with it but I wonder. Anyone out there know anything about feng shui? i also had some issues as a kid/teenager that started after we moved into my moms house (age 8 and over). again-could be for any reason but could "bad" feng shui have anything to do with it? okay for all you "feng shui is crap" folks out there, I understand your position but I happen to think theres something to it so if you dont have anything constructive to add please keep your opinions to yourself.
Supposedly, fake and dead plants are not feng shui. If you want plants, you must have living ones. I recommend an air plant, and maybe some small bamboo in a vase, caus they are easy to keep alive. I am bad at keeping things alive, but I have had this vase of bamboo I got at Home Depot forever. You only have to add water every couple of weeks, plus the bamboo helps bring together the asian feng shui feeling. Adding a small fountain to your room will also add feng shui. Just do what makes you feel most at ease, cause that is what it is all about. if you feel more comfortable with fake plants than do it, but if you are being strict with the rules of feng shui then don't use fake plants. Research online, how to design a feng shui room, because furniture placement is also very important! Good luck with your room!

Not sure about fake flowers being bad feng shui but I do hate to dust them!

I agree with asia...surround yourself with items that make you feel wonderful. Mirrors, light, pictures, beads and bells--all evoke strong emotions. Don't forget fragrances--they do a lot to make a house a home. If plants make you nervous, I'd go with fiber optics sculptures or something less stressfull like tabletop waterfalls, sand gardens or bowls of pebbles for tabletops, etc.Let us know how it turns out :)

Feng shui is rendered to snake oil in America. Yet the schools of thought, which it offshoot from, has been proven to be connected to studies of cosmology(star orientation) & animal patterning(turtle shell, snake scales) arrangements found in nature, much like Giza pyramid, Latin America pyramids, etc. etc. etc.. It seemed old world civilizations liked to align themselves to the stars as to be in sync with them. In fact, these school came in contact with the magic square of 9, calculus, algorthims(computers) which were all touched on in the pre-Feng Shui parent schools. And which we still use in modern schools, frequently, especially the computer - a binary algorithm machine.

Maybe setting up your home towards these ancient derived calculations, could set up your life to become a more structured living? what do I know. In the end, we may never know what the purpose of Feng Shui was.. maybe a lifestyle, geared towards education.

Fake plants don't give off oxygen. Oxygen when in sufficient supply does become toxic towards certain bacteria/viruses in our bodies. Tell you the truth practicality should be your agenda. Even if you have all real plants, if you don't take care of your responsibilities, that is a lot of mess for city dwellers.

i work for a feng shui consultant

objects affect feng shui, there is nothing to do with fake or real plants (they may both be beneficial or not beneficial for your house). its about what kind of energy the object emits and how its energy affects the energy dynamics of your house

if the plants are the cause of your problems, you may have placed them at an area of earth foundation. possibly the north east, southwest or center. however the plants my not be the cause of your uncomfortness.it may be that your house has a bad feng shui orientation

it is true that in fengshui, live plants is better than dead plants or plastic. but in fengshui the emphasis is not on the material but o the calculation based on a certain theory or technique. it is about the 360 degrees and how to optimize an area using fengshui theories. it is not about when you put a dead plant here fengshui is not good, while putting a live plant everything will be okay. it is about calculating where in the house is the good energy combination and where is the bad energy combination, then how do you utilize these areas to enhance your life. so, that your life will be more relaxed, because things just go into place while you achieve your gols easier.

Basics of Feng Shui or fengshui
========================
* Literally wind-water.
* Pronounced: foong shway or fung shway.
* A form of geomancy.
* Rules in Chinese philosophy that govern spatial arrangement and orientation in relation to patterns of yin and yang and the flow of energy (qi).
* Chinese practice of arranging of space and elements to achieve the greatest harmony and balance with the environment.
* This ancient Chinese science practice of design, placement, proportion is estimated to be more than three thousand years old.
Now your question and some simple answer for you.
Fake flowers and plants = not living objects. However can gather negative or positive energy from the environment. Where you place your fake flowers? If near to the toilet, will gather negative energy. If near happy people always, will gather positive energy. If place at location which is not auspicious at your house, gather negative energy, if place at auspicious place, gather positive energy.
Rule of thumb, don't simply listen to others when it comes to fengshui, should check on your own. A great guru of fengshui once said, "your compass is your friend when you want to learn about fengshui".

Give me some advices about the entrance of my bedroom in Fengshui fashion!

The entrance of my bedroom is face to face with the door of my toilet. However, my bedroom does not have a door. Please advise if good or not?
I've got the same question as the guy who posted above (dogen), if your bedroom does not have a door: how does the bedroom door face your bathroom door?Assuming there is some sort of entrance that leads directly to the bathroom door (not good), try to keep the bathroom door closed as often as possible. Better still, place something that negates the bad chi coming from the bathroom (be it plants or something auspicious) near the entrance of thte bathroom.
A bed room is where you relaxe yourself and is a nice place to lay down and get a comfortable sleep the whole night ang get energy for the next day.

Bath room always refer a dirty place and you don't like to stay there long.

Door to door is not recommended in Feng Shui, maybe it will cause you some physcial problems. And its not nice and no beauty at all.

Move out or do some partition or somthing to block it.

toilets are difficult to deal with esp if you do not have a blueprint or diagram with your description.
"The entrance of my bedroom is face to face with the door of my toilet." - it is bad, but in some cases, it is okay depends on how the toilet bowl, wash basin and shower are arranged inside the bathroom.
"However, my bedroom does not have a door." - i cannot understand this, you just told me that the door to the bedroom is in front of the toilet's door.

which colors should i choose to painting my bedroom in Feng shui fashion?

i wanna my bedroom i already decided to paint it royel purple can u give me anygood tips? its a huge room w/ high ceilings so there is really no limits.
According to feng shui that is a good color for a bedroom. I would trim windows and molding and accents in a bright white and use crown molding in the same bright white. Keep the curtains a sheer and make sure the bed is not accross from the door way or on a wall that has a bathroom on the other side. Accent bedding in or close to the same purple with a spash of color. That will give texture. Make sure you have a red object in the room also. I forgot what corner the red object should be in, and make sure you also have your shiny object which usually is a metal to tone down the room some. My suggestions are all based on you implying you want to add feng shui to your room.
- a bedroom according to fengshui must be more yin than yang, meaning get the tv, sound system and internet out of the bedroom. and paint it more subdued colors, not bright red. the most important fact in fengshui is that the location of the bedroom in relation to the center of the house and the direction of the bedroom door must be based on the kua of the birthdate of the person staying in it.
- also avoid putting mirrors, plants and water
-feature like an aquarium or trickling water inside a bedroom- have a solid wall against your headboard as opposed to a window, a door, a hallway or a mirror.

How to find out our BEST LUCK in term of money this year 2008 in feng shui principles?

The best money luck area is the southwest of your home for the year 2008. Activate this area with coins, loose change, crystals, vases, anything valuable. The East is for future wealth this year, so if you have investments, or future money expected, activate this section with some lucky bamboo, or a picture of some pretty flowers in red, purple and blue.

Beware of the central area of your home, as it is home to the sickness star. It is very likely 2008 will be a year with a lot of illness, due to this central star in everybody's homes and businesses. To cure this area and protect yourself, get rid of any candles or lamps in this area. Place metal objects here, the color white and blue, or round objects.

Here is a great tip that has worked wonders in my home over the last couple of months: Salt absorbs negative energy, so make a powerful cure for the central area. Heres how:
1. Fill a clean glass or jar(pint size or whatever you have) 3/4 full with salt. Any salt, table salt, sea salt.
2. Slowly fill the glass with tap water, right to the top.
3. Place in the center of your home somewhere where it will not be disturbed. Use a plate to protect the surface, as the salt will crystallize within a couple of weeks, depending on how strong the energy is.
4. Leave alone until the yearly flying stars move again in Feb. 2009. 5. Do not reuse this cure, throw the whole thing away, it will contain loads of negative energy.

How to make my bedroom flow and be somewhat feng shui?

It’s easy to “map” your bedroom according to Feng Shui principles so you can create more harmony in the bedroom. Here's how:

1. First, draw a roughly square outline of your bedroom on a piece of paper. The wall that has the primary entrance to your room in it should be the lower line of the square.

2. Divide the square into nine equal squares, three rows of 3 squares each.

3. Start with the lowest row of squares, that describes the areas when you first walk into your bedroom. The far left corner of the room when you first enter is the area of Knowledge. The center square relates to Career, and the right-hand square is Helpful People/Travel.

4. Now look at the central row of squares, that describes the middle of your bedroom. The far left square relates to Family/Health. The central square is the Tao, or Center, and the right-hand square is Creativity/Children.

5. Lastly, look at the top row of squares. The far left square relates to Wealth, the central square to Fame/Reputation, and the far right square to Relationships/Romance.
Your layout should look something like this:Wealth-Fame/Reputation-Relationships/R...
Family/Health-Tao-Creativity/Children
Knowledge-Career-Helpful People/Travel

6. Here are some objects that will work best for each area of your room, helping you to attract more of what you need.
Knowledge: Bookcase, books, tools for self-development.
Career: Mirrors or water-related items. Images to support your career goals.
Helpful People/Travel: Pictures of your helpers.
Family/Health: Family photos, heirlooms, plants.
Creativity/Children: Art supplies, artwork, computer.
Wealth: Money, jewelry, fish, fountains, anything red, purple, or gold.
Fame/Reputation: Candles, awards, plants, anything red, orange, or purple.
Relationships/Romance: Round or oval mirrors, anything pink, pictures of loved ones, paired objects (like two candlesticks or two crystals).

what are the basical principles and furniture placements for a bedroom in Feng shui fashion?

well i don't know a whole lot......but do know your bed should face the door where you can see it......if you have a connecting bath, you should keep that door closed and place a mirror on the backside of the door. if you have a ceiling fan, you should hang a crystal from it. If you really are interested in doing it properly, I would go to a book store and read Feng Shui for dummies....it's full of great ideas and I found even quicker versions......If you go to Barnes and Nobles, just get a coffee, bring a notepad or your laptop and take notes :-)

Feng Shui is not about superstition or mysticism. It's about intention. By arranging your home according to feng shui, you are physically telling yourself that you want things to improve. Having a beautiful, energetic home allows you to focus your attention on the other aspects of your life, like career, family, health, and doing feng shui cures reminds you of their importance.

Can anyone give me feng shui tips for my bedroom?

can anyone give me feng shui tips for my bedroom? and i know it's bad to point your bed towards the door... but can it be facing my closet doors?

The bed shouldn't face the door of the room. It is considered inauspicious if your feet will point to the door as that is how a corpse is taken out. It may or may not be auspicious to have them facing your closet doors. It will depend on which direction you're keeping your head in.

Feng Shui is the ancient art of placement. Your personal belongings in the home are positioned in a specific arrangement to enhance chi to bring harmony and balance to your life. Chi is an invisible energy that swirls around us at all times. Feng Shui translated literally means wind and water because the chi travels on the air and water currents.

How would one organize their bedroom in a feng shui like fashion?

Pretty hard to incorporate all the "feng shui" experts opinion / suggestions if you did not start out building your home or rooms in the feng shui set-up. As to start out, the bedroom should be at the back of the house... away from all the main active rooms. Also, a bedroom above a garage is totally out. Ideally, it will not be immediately opposite, above or below the toilet, kitchen, next to living room or children's playroom.
1. The bed should be the biggest piece in the room (here, I think they are encouraging you to go out and spend funds on a big bed). 1b. This bed should be off all natural, yet warm, materials (wooden frame, natural mattress, cotton sheets, blankets, etc. Very little synthetic around).
1c. Nothing on the wall over the head board.
1d. On bed placement, apparently, to avoid the disruptive high energy streaming through windows: Head of bed should not be placed at window. Ideally, the window should be lined up with the bedroom door so that the high energy passes through the room. If the window directly faces a wall... a mirror on the opposite wall will work to send the high energy back through the window. Likewise, same with mirror if door faces a wall.
1e. Bed should not be placed between window and door as it will be right in the center of all this high energy swirling between window and door.
1f. Do not use the space below bed for storage.
1g. Avoid mirrors facing the bed.
2. Decor color scheme and objects should be inline with your birthyear elements. That is, the colors of walls, window treatments, lighting and other décor elements should work well together and certainly work for you personally. The experts recommend that the aforementioned be in line with your birthdate elements: "In feng shui, the best colors are determined based on the occupants' birth data and the interaction of five elements. For example, if you are a Metal element person, best colors for you will be either Earth (Browns, Earthy, Light Yellows) or Metal colors (White, Gray.) You will need to avoid Fire colors (Red, Orange, Strong Yellow and Purple), as Fire Melts the Metal."
Lighting: should be mellow (preferably lightly scented candles). Personally, a 60 watt bulb works fine, after all, I don't sleep with the light on.
Other elements. Choose some sensual, romantic or relaxing art for your bedroom. I bummed out on the art as cluttered walls don't work for me.
Above is the basic... then you can take into consideration a small plant that adds more complication on the right place / corner of the room to place the plant.

fengshui is more than arranging the furnitures inside the house. i think it is more like the arrangement of rooms inside the house. this is because of the flying stars method or xuan kong fei xing, if you will refer to the wiki article. in flying stars, whenever your main front door faces a particular degree (in the 360 degrees), the distribution of good areas and bad areas in your house shifts. you cannot sense this being good or being bad, even if you are a psychic. you can only know them by using the fengshui technique/s. so now, you put the bedroom, living rooms at the good areas, while leave the garage, toilets, hallways at the bad areas.
another way of applying this method is... when you are adjusting your built house to have a good fengshui, you try to tilt your front door, and do the calculations to shift the good areas towards the rooms where you live more.
i know that this method is more difficult, but this is the real chinese fengshui.
as opposed to what most writers write about superimposing a 12 section bagua over your house. just imagine if you use this method, you end up a house without a bathroom, because where ever you put it you affect that aspect of your life. but fengshui is not like this.
most techniques/ methods of fengshui are listed under the combining technques in the wikipedia article.

What are some things i can do, add, or move in my room for good Feng shui?

Feng Shui has many aspects. It all depends what you are looking to accomplish. For example, Feng Shui can be about letting go of the old things that are blocking you which will allow you to bring in the new wonderful things to help you.
Feng Shui also looks at the eight directions in life (Eight Mansions Feng Shui) and places a Bagua (map of these directions) over your home and/or a specific space which guides you in placement of symbolism for each of the areas. For example, if you were looking to bring a wonderful new love interest into your life, you would need to know where the SW part of your home or bedroom is and you would put energies there to help to create romance in your life. You can do that to better a relationship as well.
Feng Shui also looks at the hidden energies and using a technique called "Flying Star Feng Shui" helps you to enhance or "cure" areas with colors, shapes, patterns, etc.

Make sure you have at least one red wall and make sure there are no mirrors that you can see your reflection in when you wake up because in Feng Shui it is believed that you could scare yourself to death if you see your reflection when you wake up.. That's all I know about it. And no sharp corners. That throws the flow of energy off balance.

Feng Shui Bedroom Basics for Teens

By Richard Richi Published 07/1/2007 Women's Issues Feng shui is a wonderful way to create improvements in your life simply by aligning the items in your bedroom. These can include your bed, your desk or computer, even your stereo.
Feng shui is a wonderful way to create improvements in your life simply by aligning the items in your bedroom. You might even find a new love as a result! Use these tips to get your room in harmony with your life.
Important Basic Feng Shui Bedroom Do's and Don'ts
DO use a compass
Stand in the middle of the room and hold the compass level and waist-high. Then make a diagram of your room, creating nine squares. Put the correct direction on each square. Now you are ready to move the items according to compass or your personal auspicious directions. (A compass only costs about $2-$5 at Wal-Mart or Target.)
Give yourself a mini-space clearing
--If you decide to use feng shui in your room, then clear out all unnecessary items and junk from your drawers, closet, and under the bed.
--Clean thoroughly by vacuuming, dusting and washing windows, ceiling fans, etc.
--Now you're ready to feng shui your room, but follow the DON'Ts below:
DON'Ts
Don't have open book shelves opposite your bed or behind you as you study. These act like knives and will encourage people "talking behind your back."
Don't have water or pictures of water (this aggravates asthma, allergies, and can encourage respiratory or sinus problems). So take out the Zen fountain or fish tank.
Don't have plants in the bedroom. Plants use up body energy in your bedroom.

BED DOs and DON'Ts
DO make sure it has the widest view of the room and entryway so you can see the door easily
DO try to sleep with the top of your head pointing in one of your personal feng shui directions (see below)
DO have a solid wall behind it (or at least curtains) vs. a window
DO make sure you cannot see a bathroom, toilet, or stairs from the bed
DON'T have the bed against a shared wall of a bathroom or toilet
DON'T have a mirror or television that reflects the bed
DON'T have your feet point out the door from your bed
Using personal feng shui: Having your head pointed in one of your auspicious directions (AD) is one of the best ways to tap good luck. Click here to calculate your personal feng shui directions. This link will tell you what directions are the best for you. Even if your room is in the Southwest portion of the house and this is not a good direction for you, you can still orient your bed so that your head points in one of your good directions.

DESK DOs and DON'Ts
DO try to place your desk in NE corner of your room
DO always sit where you can see the door and anyone entering the room easily
DO try to face one of your AD
DO keep a bright light turned on here to enhance your education luck
DO hang a lead crystal from the ceiling here, or place rock crystals in this corner of the room and in the NE corner of the desk for better study concentration
DO add a globe to this location to improve test scores and success in school

DRESSER
Place in East corner if wood
Place in West corner if metallic-colored, or if painted white, silver, or gold
Place in North if black or bluePlace in SE if greenPlace in South or SW if red, orange, purpleCOMPUTER, PHONE, & STEREOPlace phone in the NW corner of room to bring more helpful people into your life.Keep stereo playing on low volume while you are away to keep energy active in your room and attract helpful people to you.DECORATIONS, ETC.Mirrors: Not recommended in the bedroom. If used, make sure you cannot see yourself from the bed.Lamps: Place one in the south (fame and recognition; a lava lamp is great here!), the NE (educational luck), and the SW (to help you with your sweetie or bring one if you don't have one already -- lava lamps are also great here, too!). The lamps will energize these areas.Pictures: Make sure are these positive images that make you happy. Violence, dark, or brooding-types of pictures are not suitable for a place of rest and relaxation.
Troubles with mom and dad? Place a happy picture of your family in the East corner of your room to help these relationships become easier and more harmonious.
Looking for a new love? Place a picture of your heart's desire in the SW to help this relationship -- or to encourage a new one relationship, place a picture of your "ideal" person here.
Bulletin boards: Hang these on the south wall of your room. Pin pictures of famous people, letters of recognition, awards, ribbons, or certificates here for more added recognition any kind of accomplishment is perfect for this location.
A light that illuminates this area is especially helpful! Place trophies on a shelf in this location for continued success and recognition. Paint this board red for an extra boost in recognition energy!
Ceiling fans: not recommended because they displace body energy while sleeping; if used, place small red dot on each blade.
Clutter: If you don't feel well or you're having troubles in your life, clear your space. Get a box and do a thorough cleaning out. This doesn't mean you have to throw things away.
Store them in the garage or attic. If after a while you don't use any of these things, then donate them to charity. Do make note of how you feel once your room is clear.
