Feng Shui - Can you "fix" a house headed in "wrong" direction?

I juts moved into a very small condo which is situated in such a way where there is not much you can re-arrange according to furniture.
According to my personal number (4) I am facing in exactly the very worst direction for everything (NW facing in computer, couch and head of bed). I am following allthe other rules of feng shui as far as clutter, downplaying bathroom energy, colors, candles in certain area to activate, etc.... BUT I am concerned of the inability to do anything but face my worst possible direction.
How harmful is this?
Is there something that can be done with mirrors or anything else to fix this?
This is a very important and cruicial time inmy life and I need ALL the help I can get, which is why I am being so careful with the feng shui right.
Please respond only if you hav a good background in feng shui and really know what can be done

> fengshui is dependent on space which holds the chi, less space means less chi, which means insignificant impact on your life, even if you get your fengshui right. do you know anybody who is very rich and lives in a tiny house?

> next please do not mix chinese fengshui with clutter fengshui. evidently, clutter fengshui is easily handed from writer to the world, because it does not work. on the other hand, chinese fengshui still remains a mystery to the rest of the world, because it is the real thing that businessmen pay good money for.
regarding fengshui of condo units, it is not as easy as doing fengshui of an ordinary house. there are many issues. a condo is like a house with many rooms, thus, when getting its facing you get the door connecting the outside world to the inside of the condo - this is the main door of the condo, downstairs - NOT THE DOOR OF YOUR UNIT! again, this is an issue in the fengshui world, that is debateable among masters. but i do take the main door of the condo, not your unit. because if i were to do fengshui in a house. i do not do fengshui just to a bedroom, but to the whole house. and the fengshui of the bedroom depends on the fengshui of the whole house. this means that your unit depends on the fengshui of the whole condo.
regarding your personal number 4 and if NW is the facing of the condo (not your unit), i think this thought is based on 8 mansions. it is bad, but there is nothing you can do, unless you can tilt the main door of the whole condominium. that or move.
i think, if you're really insisting to stay in this unit, there is really nothing you can do to change your future, but work harder at it. as i said, fengshui depends on space, which holds the chi. there are many things you can do to improve your life, but they all include a bigger space, and freedom to change your environment to accomodate your better life. without that, then you are stuck. i do not really believe in remedies. again these are the things handed easily out by eager writers, because they DO NOT WORK - a remedy makes something bad temporarily neutral. but that neutral becomes all the way evil/ bad when the right time comes along. because there is a time element with fengshui. same reason why there are lucky days and unlucky days in fengshui to move or get marry.
and all of these fengshui stuffs were not just conjured recently, they were devised more than 4,000 years ago by the chinese to increase crop yield to make the farmers' lives easier. now, they are adapted to make everyday life easier for a city dweller. but most of the people who want to include fengshui into their homes often find a hard time in doing so. because they often adjust their houses to accomodate fengshui, rather building a house based on fengshui, like what most chinese businessmen do before building their huge buildings, they first consult a fengshui master whether to buy a plot of land or not, and how are they going about building their masterpieces. i know that most people do not have the means to hire their own fengshui masters. but there are many who have studied from these masters. and you can hire them at a fraction of the cost getting a master. and this is a cheaper and wiser course of action than buying many books on fengshui, scouring the websites for answers or chatting in fengshui forums. i know, because i used to do them. but after that i took seminars from some masters, and throw aways the books, i bought.
