That was bad Feng shui to place the vacuum everywhere.

recently i left the vacuum by the front door and when my wife came home she scolded me for leaving by the front door saying it was bad feng shui to do this, i responded by saying that when feng shui was invented they didnt have electricity so how could it be bad feng shui, shouldn't she just be happy that i vacuum everyday and do the laundry and take care of the kids and do the cooking and cleaning and shopping, and pay for most of the bills from my income

Technically your wife is correct. It is bad feng shui. It's similar to leaving a trash can by your front door. It blocks the flow of chi.

The main thing is not the vacuum, but is what was in the vacuum.

Fengshui believes that the openings of the house has to be kept clean, as that's where the Chi would flow through the house.

However, if one was to leave trash or leave the door cluttered or dirty, the 'good' chi from the outside, would be either be tainted or the flow obstructed

Hence, as your vacuum acts as a receptacle for the dirt that he had sucked up, the presence of the vacuum could potientially contaminate the 'chi' flow.

However, i think your overreacted a bit for if left for a few days, the impact would not be so great
